Premium Jamaican Black Castor Oil for Hair & Skin

The difference between real Jamaican Black Castor Oil and mass-market castor oil at the drugstore shows up in the color. Drugstore castor oil is pale, almost clear, because it’s pressed from raw castor seeds. Real Jamaican Black Castor Oil is a deep coffee-brown. The color comes from the ash of the traditional wood-roasting process.

Here’s how it’s made the traditional way. Castor seeds are harvested on the island. They’re roasted slow over a wood fire, which darkens them and gives the finished oil its color, its slightly smoky character, and its body. After roasting, they’re hand-cracked and ground into a paste. The paste is boiled with water, and the oil rises to the top. That oil is skimmed, settled, and strained. Nothing else added.

The seeds for our 1oz bottle are pure Jamaican-sourced, wood-roasted on the island, processed in the traditional method.

Why Choose Our Jamaican Black Castor Oil?

  • For Hair & Scalp: Conditions hair and softens the scalp as part of a regular care routine
  • For Edges & Beard: A traditional oil for smoothing edges and conditioning facial hair
  • For Lashes & Brows: Many use it as a nightly conditioning treatment for lash and brow upkeep
  • For Skin: A rich oil for dry patches, nail beds, and cuticles
  • For Routine: A weekly scalp ritual, a daily edge smoother, a pre-shampoo treatment

📌 How to Use

  • Scalp ritual: 4 to 8 drops directly onto the scalp. Massage in slow circles for two to three minutes. Many people leave it on overnight wrapped in a silk scarf, then wash with their usual shampoo or one of our handmade soap bars.
  • Edges: 1 to 2 drops on a clean fingertip. Smooth onto the edges of the hairline.
  • Beard: 3 to 4 drops into the palm, warm between the hands, work into a clean dry beard, comb through.
  • Spot use: Brows, lashes (sparingly, not directly in the eye), nail beds, dry patches of skin. A little goes a long way.
