Appointment Bookings And Scheduling Privacy

When you book an appointment through our online booking system (the Amelia plugin) or by Instagram DM, WhatsApp, or phone, we collect:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• The service, location, date, and time you book
• Deposit payment information, processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
• Intake and screening information you provide before permanent makeup (PMU) or related services. This can include health-related information such as skin conditions, allergies, medications, pregnancy or nursing status, and prior cosmetic procedures. Because this can include health-related (sensitive) information, we collect it only with your consent, provided when you complete the intake form, and we use it only to screen for contraindications, perform services safely, and give you correct aftercare guidance.

Shop Orders And Payment Data Protection

When you buy skincare products from our online shop, we collect:

• Name, email address, phone number, billing address, and shipping address
• Order details (products, quantities, prices, applicable sales tax)
• Payment information, processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)

Gifted Circle Membership And Billing Privacy

When you join The Gifted Circle membership, we collect:

• Name, email address, and account login details
• Membership level, start date, and renewal status
• Recurring billing information, processed by Stripe

Giveaway Entries And Contest Data Use

When you enter the Gifted Hands CT Monthly Brow Giveaway, we collect:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Date of birth (to verify you are 18 or older, as required by the giveaway’s Official Rules)
• Your entry details and, if you win, information needed to award and document the prize

AI chat concierge (“Gigi” via Chatbase)

Our website offers an AI chat assistant named Gigi, powered by Chatbase, a third-party service. When you use the chat:

• Your chat messages and transcripts are processed and stored by the Chatbase service to generate responses and help us improve the assistant.
• Any personal information you type into the chat (for example, your name or contact details) becomes part of the transcript.
• Please do not share sensitive information (such as detailed medical history or payment card numbers) in the chat. Use our booking intake forms or contact us directly for those.

Affiliate Referral Tracking And Cookies

If you arrive at our site through an affiliate’s referral link or use an affiliate coupon code, our affiliate platform (Partnero) sets a referral cookie and uses a tracking script (PartneroJS) to attribute your purchase or signup to the referring affiliate. This involves processing your browser and purchase information to credit the affiliate. See “Cookies and Tracking” below.

Advertising Analytics And Tracking Tools

• Rybbit website analytics: We use Rybbit, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the site. It records aggregate information such as pages viewed, referring site, device type, and approximate location, and is not used for advertising.
• Meta Pixel: We use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to measure ad performance and show you relevant ads on Meta platforms. The Pixel collects information about your visit, such as pages viewed and actions taken, and shares it with Meta.
• Jetpack: We use Jetpack site statistics to understand overall site traffic (page views, referrers, approximate location by region).
• RankMath: Our SEO plugin operates on-site and does not build advertising profiles about you.

Automatic Collection Of Server And Technical Data

Like most websites, our web server automatically logs technical information, including IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested, and timestamps. We use this for security, troubleshooting, and site operation.

Messaging Privacy For SMS And Social Apps

If you contact us or receive booking communications by SMS text, WhatsApp, or Instagram DM, we collect your phone number or handle and the message content. WhatsApp and Instagram are Meta services and process messages under their own privacy policies. By providing your phone number for booking, you consent to receive appointment-related messages (confirmations, reminders, changes) by SMS or WhatsApp. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time by replying STOP or telling us your preference.

We use the information we collect to:

• Schedule, confirm, and provide appointments and services
• Screen for contraindications and provide PMU services safely, including aftercare guidance
• Process orders, deposits, payments, refunds, and shipping
• Run The Gifted Circle membership, including recurring billing, perks, and member content
• Administer the Monthly Brow Giveaway under its Official Rules, including winner selection, verification, and prize delivery
• Respond to questions via chat, email, phone, or messaging apps
• Credit affiliates for referrals under our affiliate program

• Global Privacy Control: If your browser sends an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser.

How Long We Keep Your Personal Data

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal requirements:

• Booking, order, and payment records: kept as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal requirements (generally up to 7 years).
• PMU intake and consent records: kept for as long as needed to document safe service delivery and meet any applicable professional or legal record-keeping requirements.
• Giveaway entries and winner records: kept per the record-keeping provisions of the giveaway’s Official Rules and applicable Connecticut law.
• Chat transcripts (Chatbase): retained by the Chatbase service under its retention settings; we periodically review and do not keep transcripts longer than needed for support and service improvement.
• Membership records: kept while your membership is active and for a reasonable period afterward for billing and dispute purposes.
• Server logs: typically retained for a short rolling window for security and troubleshooting.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

Your Privacy Rights And Choices Explained

We honor the following rights for all US users, in the spirit of the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA) and similar state privacy laws, regardless of whether those laws technically apply to us:

• Access and portability: ask us what personal data we have about you, confirm whether we are processing it, and receive a copy in a portable and, where technically feasible, readily usable format.
• Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate personal data.
• Deletion: ask us to delete your personal data (we may need to keep some records for legal, tax, or safety reasons, and we will tell you if so).
• Opt out of targeted advertising: ask us to stop using your data for targeted ads (see “Cookies and Tracking” above).

How to exercise your rights: Email support@giftedhandsct.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Tell us what you are asking for and the email or phone number you used with us so we can verify your identity. We will respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our response; we will review the appeal and respond within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you may also contact the Connecticut Attorney General’s office to submit a complaint.

We will never discriminate against you (deny service, charge different prices) for exercising your privacy rights.

Privacy Practices For Children And Minors

Our website and services are not directed at children under 18. Permanent makeup and related services are provided only to clients 18 and older. The giveaway is open only to US residents 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

How We Protect Your Personal Information

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption on our website, PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe (we never store full card numbers on our own systems), access controls on our WordPress admin, and vetted third-party providers. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects your information.

Privacy Information For Giveaways And Contests

Participation in the Gifted Hands CT Monthly Brow Giveaway is governed by its separate Official Rules, available at giftedhandsct.com/giveaway-rules/. No purchase or membership is necessary to enter or win, a free entry method is available, and purchases do not improve your odds. This policy covers only how entry data is handled as personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. For significant changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, a site notice or an email to members).
