NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL ELIGIBLE ENTRIES HAVE AN EQUAL CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID IN PUERTO RICO, ALL U.S. TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS, AND WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the applicable Entry Period. One (1) prize, approximate retail value (ARV) up to $500.00, is awarded per Entry Period. If X eligible entries are received in an Entry Period, the odds of winning that Entry Period’s prize are 1 in X. Exactly one (1) winner is selected per Entry Period regardless of the number of entries received.

This promotion is a promotional sweepstakes conducted for advertising purposes in connection with the bona fide sale of permanent-makeup services by the Sponsor. It is intended to comply with Connecticut General Statutes Sections 42-295 through 42-301 (Chapter 743n, Sweepstakes), 53-278g(a) (promotional drawing exception), and 53-290a (prize and odds disclosure). It is NOT a raffle, lottery, or game of chance requiring payment, and it is not conducted by or on behalf of any charitable or nonprofit organization.

Giveaway Sponsor Information And Contact

Gifted Hand Services LLC d/b/a Gifted Hands CT (“Sponsor”), 99 Ellington St, Hartford, Connecticut 06106. The Sponsor is solely responsible for the conduct of this Sweepstakes and the award of all prizes.

Eligibility Requirements For Brow Giveaway

The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who, at the time of entry, are at least eighteen (18) years of age AND have reached the age of majority in their state of residence. The Sweepstakes is void in Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, all other U.S. territories and possessions, all locations outside the United States, and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

The following persons are NOT eligible: (a) the Sponsor’s owner(s), employees, and independent contractors; (b) the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and each of their respective spouses) and household members of any of the foregoing, whether or not related; and (c) any person or entity engaged by Sponsor to administer, advertise, or fulfill this Sweepstakes.

Entry constitutes full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes.

Entry Periods And Giveaway Timing Details

The Sweepstakes is conducted in separate, discrete monthly entry periods. Each “Entry Period” begins at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) on the first (1st) day of a calendar month and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on the last day of that same calendar month. The first Entry Period begins on the date announced on the giveaway page at giftedhandsct.com/giveaway-entry/; no entries are accepted before that date. Each Entry Period is a stand-alone sweepstakes: entries do NOT carry over, roll over, or accumulate from one Entry Period to any other Entry Period, and one (1) prize is awarded per Entry Period. Sponsor may elect not to run the Sweepstakes in a given calendar month; any such pause will be announced on the giveaway page at giftedhandsct.com before the affected month begins and does not affect any Entry Period already in progress. Sponsor will never cancel an Entry Period after entries for that period have been received without awarding that period’s prize as described in Section 9(e).

How To Enter The Monthly Brow Giveaway

Limit: one (1) entry per person, per Entry Period, regardless of method or combination of methods of entry. All entries, however received, are placed into a single pooled entry list for the applicable Entry Period, and every eligible entry has an identical chance of winning. There are three (3) free-standing methods of entry, all of equal effect:

(a) Free Online Entry. Visit the giveaway page at giftedhandsct.com during the Entry Period and fully complete and submit the free entry form (name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and date of birth). No purchase, payment, membership, or account is required. One online entry per person per Entry Period.

(b) Free Mail-In Entry. Hand-print your full name, complete mailing address, email address, phone number, and date of birth on a plain 3″ x 5″ card and mail it in a stamped outer envelope to: Gifted Hands CT Monthly Brow Giveaway, 99 Ellington St, Hartford, CT 06106. Mail-in entries must be postmarked during the Entry Period and received no later than five (5) business days after the Entry Period closes. Limit one (1) card per outer envelope and one (1) mail-in entry per person per Entry Period. Mechanically reproduced, photocopied, incomplete, or illegible entries are void. Proof of mailing is not proof of receipt.

(c) Automatic Entry for Members. Each person who is an active member of Sponsor’s paid membership program, “The Gifted Circle” (currently $5.00/month or $50.00/year), at any time during an Entry Period is automatically entered one (1) time into that Entry Period’s drawing. Joining The Gifted Circle is NOT required to enter or win, does NOT provide additional entries, and does NOT improve your odds of winning in any way. Membership auto-entry is a courtesy convenience only; a member’s single automatic entry is identical in every respect to a free online or mail-in entry. If a member also submits a free online or mail-in entry for the same Entry Period, that person still receives exactly one (1) entry for that Entry Period (the duplicate is disregarded; the person is not disqualified). Cancelling membership does not retroactively remove the automatic entry for any Entry Period during which the membership was active.

If more than one entry is received from the same person for the same Entry Period by any combination of methods, only the first entry received is counted. Entries generated by script, macro, bot, or other automated means, and entries on behalf of another person, are void. Multiple entrants may not share the same email address for entry purposes. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, the entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted.

Prize Value, Redemption Terms, And Conditions

One (1) prize is awarded per Entry Period: one (1) permanent-makeup brow service performed by Gifted Hands CT, winner’s choice of Ombre Powder Brows, Combination Brows, or Microblading (initial session), approximate retail value (ARV) up to $500.00 depending on the service selected. Any difference between the ARV and the actual value of the prize as taken will not be awarded.

Prize conditions:

  • The prize must be redeemed in person, by appointment, at Sponsor’s Connecticut studio location or, at Sponsor’s option and the winner’s convenience, at a scheduled Sponsor pop-up event, subject to appointment availability.
  • The prize service is subject to a standard pre-service health, medication, and skin screening and a signed service consent form, the same as required of all paying clients. Permanent-makeup services are contraindicated for certain conditions (including, without limitation, pregnancy or nursing, certain skin conditions in the brow area, certain medications, and recent cosmetic treatments in the area). If the winner does not pass screening or is otherwise medically unable to receive the service, Sponsor will award that winner, in lieu of the service, a Gifted Hands CT credit equal to the ARV of the prize service selected by the winner (up to $500.00), usable toward other Sponsor services or products. No cash will be paid in any event.
  • The prize expires one hundred eighty (180) days from the date of the winner notification email; if the winner has not completed (or at minimum scheduled and confirmed, at Sponsor’s reasonable discretion) the service by that date, the prize is forfeited in its entirety with no compensation.
  • The prize is non-transferable, non-assignable, and not redeemable for cash. No substitution by the winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Sponsor’s control.
  • The winner is solely responsible for all costs not expressly included in the prize, including travel to and from the studio or pop-up location, lodging, aftercare products not included in the service, any optional touch-up session (unless included in the selected service at time of redemption), and all federal, state, and local taxes on the prize.
  • The prize consists of the initial service session as described. All services are performed subject to Sponsor’s standard client policies, licensure, and applicable Connecticut health regulations.

Odds Of Winning And Required Connecticut Disclosure

Actual number of prizes to be awarded per Entry Period: one (1). Dollar value of the prize: up to $500.00 (ARV). Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the applicable Entry Period; every eligible entry has an equal chance of winning. If X eligible entries are received, the odds of winning are 1 in X. Because the number of entries in an Entry Period is not limited or predetermined and no tickets or tokens are distributed in fixed quantities, the number of winners per one thousand entries cannot be stated in advance; exactly one (1) winner will be selected per Entry Period. For illustration only: if 1,000 eligible entries were received in an Entry Period, there would be one (1) winner per 1,000 entries and the odds would be 1 in 1,000.

This disclosure appears on the giveaway entry page and in all printed entry materials in type not less than one-third the size of the largest type appearing on the same page or material.

How Winners Are Selected, Notified, And Verified

(a) Selection. One (1) potential winner per Entry Period will be selected in a random drawing from the single pooled list of all eligible entries received for that Entry Period. The drawing will be conducted on or about the seventh (7th) business day after the close of the Entry Period (that is, after the deadline for receipt of timely mail-in entries under Section 4(b), so that every eligible entry is included in the drawing) using a documented random-selection method (a cryptographically random or certified random-number generator applied to the numbered pooled entry list). The drawing will be screen-recorded or otherwise contemporaneously documented, and the drawing record will be retained by Sponsor for at least two (2) years.

(b) Notification. The potential winner will be notified within three (3) business days of the drawing by email (and by phone, if provided). The potential winner must respond and confirm acceptance within five (5) business days of the date the notification is sent. If the potential winner does not respond within that time, cannot be reached, is found ineligible, declines the prize, or fails to complete required verification documents, that potential winner forfeits the prize and Sponsor will select an alternate potential winner by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries for that Entry Period (with the same notification and response deadlines applying to each alternate). This process will be repeated until the prize for that Entry Period is awarded or, if no potential winner can be confirmed, until all eligible entries for that Entry Period have been exhausted.

(c) Verification. Potential winners may be required, as a condition of receiving the prize, to (i) verify identity, age, and eligibility (government-issued photo ID at redemption); (ii) complete, sign, and return an affidavit or declaration of eligibility and a liability release and, except where prohibited by law, a publicity release, within five (5) business days of receipt; and (iii) complete an IRS Form W-9 if and only if required for Sponsor’s tax reporting under Section 8. An entrant is not a winner, and no prize is awarded, until eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules are verified and the notification/verification process is complete.

(d) One-win limit. No person may win more than one (1) prize in any rolling twelve (12) month span. Entries from a person who won within the preceding twelve (12) months are void for eligibility purposes.

Tax Responsibilities For Giveaway Prize Winners

All federal, state, and local tax liability arising from acceptance of a prize is the sole responsibility of the winner. The ARV of a single prize (up to $500.00) is below the federal information-reporting threshold for a Form 1099-MISC, which is $2,000 in aggregate payments per recipient per calendar year for payments made on or after January 1, 2026 (IRC Section 6041 as amended by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025). If, notwithstanding the one-win limit in Section 7(d), any winner receives prizes or other reportable payments from Sponsor totaling $2,000 or more in a calendar year, Sponsor will require a completed IRS Form W-9 before prize fulfillment and will issue the required Form 1099-MISC. Winners are advised that prizes are includible in income regardless of whether an information return is issued.

General Conditions, Liability Limits, And Dispute Terms

(a) Release. By entering, each entrant, and by accepting a prize, each winner, releases and holds harmless Sponsor, its owner(s), employees, contractors, agents, successors, and assigns (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, losses, damages, or liability of any kind arising out of or relating to participation in the Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, redemption, or misuse of any prize, except that nothing in these Official Rules releases, limits, or waives (i) liability for personal injury caused by Sponsor’s negligence in the performance of the prize service, (ii) any liability that cannot be released or limited under applicable law, or (iii) the winner’s rights under Connecticut consumer-protection law with respect to the service itself. The prize service is provided subject to the same professional standards, licensure, and client consent process as Sponsor’s paid services.

(b) Platform disclaimer. This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta Platforms, Inc., TikTok, Google, or any other social-media or technology platform. Each entrant releases each such platform from all liability in connection with this Sweepstakes. Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the Sweepstakes must be directed to Sponsor, not to any platform. Entry is made only through the methods stated in Section 4; comments, likes, follows, shares, or tags on social media are NOT entries and do not affect odds.

(c) Publicity. Except where prohibited or restricted by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes the winner’s consent for Sponsor to use the winner’s first name, last initial, city and state of residence, voice, statements about the Sweepstakes, and photographs or other likenesses captured in connection with prize redemption, for Sponsor’s advertising and promotional purposes in any media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide, without additional review, compensation, notice, or approval. Where applicable law requires that such consent be given separately, voluntarily, or for additional consideration, Sponsor will obtain consent in the manner required by that law, and a winner’s refusal of publicity in those jurisdictions will not affect the award of the prize. Before-and-after photographs of the prize service will be taken and used only with the winner’s separate written consent under Sponsor’s standard client photo-release policy.

(d) Limitation of liability; technical disclaimers. The Released Parties are not responsible for: lost, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, damaged, postage-due, or undeliverable entries or mail; telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or delays; failed, garbled, or jumbled data transmissions; errors or omissions in these Official Rules, in Sweepstakes-related advertisements, or in the administration of the Sweepstakes, including errors in the processing of entries or the announcement of prizes; unauthorized human intervention; or any injury or damage to any computer resulting from participation. If for any reason an entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, the entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in a subsequent Entry Period. IN NO EVENT WILL THE RELEASED PARTIES BE LIABLE FOR MORE THAN THE ARV OF THE APPLICABLE PRIZE, AND, EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED, ENTRANTS WAIVE ANY CLAIM TO INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES AND TO ATTORNEYS’ FEES, OTHER THAN ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS OF ENTERING (E.G., POSTAGE). Nothing in this paragraph limits liability described in the exception clause of Section 9(a) or any liability that may not lawfully be limited.

(e) Right to modify, suspend, or cancel; force majeure. If the Sweepstakes, or any Entry Period, cannot run as planned for reasons beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, public-health orders, fire, flood, or other force-majeure events, or if such causes corrupt or threaten the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor may suspend, modify, or cancel the affected Entry Period. If an Entry Period is cancelled or terminated early after any entries have been received, Sponsor will still award that Entry Period’s prize by random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received for that Entry Period before the action was taken. Material modifications to these Official Rules apply prospectively to future Entry Periods only and will be posted on the giveaway page before the Entry Period to which they first apply.

(f) Fraud and disqualification. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify, and to void the entries of, any individual it reasonably determines to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes, entering more than the permitted number of times through false identities or multiple email addresses, using automated entry methods, violating these Official Rules, or acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to abuse, threaten, or harass any person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY VIOLATE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW; SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

(g) Disputes; governing law; venue. Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and Sponsor, are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any legal action arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes must be brought exclusively in the state courts located in the Judicial District of Hartford, Connecticut, or, if federal jurisdiction exists, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, and each entrant consents to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts. Nothing in this Section limits an entrant’s right to bring a claim in small-claims court in a court of competent jurisdiction or to make a complaint to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection or any other regulator.

(h) Severability. If any provision of these Official Rules is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

How This Giveaway Relates To Gifted Circle Membership

The Gifted Circle is a separate, optional paid membership program with its own bona fide benefits independent of this Sweepstakes. Membership is billed as an automatically renewing subscription (currently $5.00/month or $50.00/year); at sign-up, Sponsor discloses the price, the automatic-renewal terms, and the cancellation method, obtains the member’s express informed consent to the recurring charge before billing, and provides a simple online cancellation mechanism, consistent with the federal Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA, 15 U.S.C. Sections 8401-8405). Members may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing and does not affect any Sweepstakes entry already credited under Section 4(c). Joining, maintaining, or cancelling a membership has no effect whatsoever on any person’s odds of winning this Sweepstakes. Free entry under Sections 4(a) and 4(b) is open to everyone on equal terms, and Sponsor treats membership fees exclusively as payment for membership benefits, never as payment for Sweepstakes entries.

Privacy Practices And Use Of Entrant Information

Information submitted with an entry is collected by Sponsor and used only to administer the Sweepstakes (including winner selection, notification, verification, prize fulfillment, and any legally required tax reporting and record-keeping) and, for members, to administer The Gifted Circle, in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at giftedhandsct.com/privacy-policy/. Entering the Sweepstakes does not subscribe an entrant to marketing communications; marketing consent, if offered, is a separate, optional, unchecked checkbox and is never a condition of entry. Sponsor does not sell entrant data.

Compliance Requirements And Governing Giveaway Laws

This Sweepstakes is a promotional drawing conducted for advertising purposes in connection with the bona fide sale of Sponsor’s goods and services, in which members of the general public may participate without making any purchase or otherwise paying or risking credit, money, or any other tangible thing of value. It is intended to comply with Conn. Gen. Stat. Section 53-278g(a), Section 42-301 (including its bona fide sale and no-simulated-gambling-device requirements), Sections 42-295 through 42-301 generally, Section 53-290a (prize and odds disclosure), and all applicable federal law, including Section 5 of the FTC Act and, as to membership billing, ROSCA. No condition or restriction is attached to entry or to the receipt of the prize that requires any purchase, payment, or attendance at any sales presentation (Conn. Gen. Stat. Section 42-296). Sponsor does not use any simulated gambling device. This promotion is void where prohibited.
